5 Minutes : Soviet Movie Poster 1929

Translation: " Five Minutes"

The movie was made by National Film Industry of Georgia.

Staring: P. G. Poltoratsky, I. Chuvelev, V. Yu. Pro, Afro-American Johnson, Chinese Van Min Si and Ho Mo Tsin.

Director: A. S. Balagin, G. M. Zelondgev - Shipov.

Cameraman: G. A. Kabalov and N. D. Anoshenko.

Artist: Nikolai Petrovich Prusakov (1900 - 1952). The artist alone or in cooperation with his colleagues - designed a number of bright and gaudy posters, original by idea, complex in composition and manner of execution. Prusakov as the Stenbergs was admired and imitated. This makes the posters of other masters who worked side by side, often in the same studio or advertising the same films, most interesting since they still managed to preserve their artistic personality.

The artist has his own favorite objects to draw: these are cars, bikes, locomotives - the symbols of progress, new life and modern design. Prusakov uses one more device, developing the adea of technical innovations. A scale of grey shades used by the master in such cases bring the drawing stylistically close to the photographs incorporated into the composition.
