Kalinkin Beer : Russian Poster 1903

"Kalinkin" since 1795 - was the first brewery in Russia. The founder, Abraham Fridrih Kron was born July 15 1766 on the island of Rugen. Kron was able to build the brewery due to a gift of land and 30,000 Roubles from Empress Catherine II. This money was enough for invitation the england brewer Frederick Danielson to Russia.
