Artist: Nikolai Petrovich Prusakov (1900 - 1952) Painter,poster and stage designer, arts and crafts master. 1911-18: studied at the Stroganov Industrial Art School, Moscow; 1924: graduated from the Moscow Vkhutemas. Early 1920s: political poster designer; contributed to the ROSTA Windows. Author of canvases and monumental paintings; exhibition designer. Took part in decorating Soviet pavilions at international exhibitions (in Helsinki, Prague,Paris, etc.). Stage designer at several Moscow theatres; chief stage designer at Moscow Drama Theatre. Professor at the Moscow Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts. 1922: took part in the Erste Russische Kunstausstellung in Berlin. Mid - 1920s - early 1930s: proved to be a creative and prolific poster designer, worked on cinema bill design. Frequently worked in cooperation with Borisov.
